More Blogs

Below is a list of blogs I have turned to regularly for encouragement and support.  I have discovered most of them through the ROS1+ community, and others have been recommended or serendipitous discoveries. Written by survivors and advocates, these blogs are the source of inspiration for my own blog, and I am grateful to their authors for their fierceness, their insights, and the encouragement they offer to all of us.

Outliving Lung Cancer
Linnea Olson -- Linnea was an artist, mom, patient advocate and 17-year survivor of ALK+ lung cancer. She participated in numerous clinical trials, pioneering many of the treatments currently used today to treat ALK and ROS1 cancers. Her blog was one of the first I found in my journey, and it helped me enormously. Sadly, Linnea passed in 2021, after her last clinical trial failed. Her blog is worth exploring. It's funny, brash, brave, informative, and deeply personal. I'm so grateful to her.

The ROS1ders
The official blog of the ROS1ders, patient advocacy group

A Lil Lytnin' Strikes Lung Cancer
Tori Tomalia  was a teaching artist, comedian, mom, patient advocate, and founder of The ROS1ders. A long-time blogger, her writing covers her travels, her marriage, the birth of her children, and her long battle with lung cancer. Tori passed away in 2021. It was a heartbreaking loss for the lung cancer community, especially for the ROS1ders.
